The
Lower East Side Preservation Coalition (LESPC) was formed to explore
options and pursue strategies for neighborhood stabilization and preservation.

These include city agencies, property owners and civic groups.
The Coalition includes Angel Orensanz Foundation,
City Lore, East Village Community Coalition, The Eldridge Street project,
Hester Street Collaborative, Kehila Kedosha Janina Synagogue and
Museum, Lower East Side People's Mutual Housing Association, the Lower
East Side Tenement Museum.

on a local level

in the neighborhood and prevent the displacement of residents

initiative
